Khushbakht Islam

I earned Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from National College of Arts (NCA), Pakistan in 2019, majoring in Painting. Earlier, I completed my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Arts from St. Joseph’s College for Women, Karachi in 2015. I have three years of experience in Painting and Murals. I am adept at working independently and collaboratively on projects that represent some meaning in my life. I am committed to achieving aesthetically pleasing visuals as my expression of freedom. My work is mostly about rape victims and how very often they continue to live a difficult life where they face many mental health issues. I have done artwork on various scales and my preferred mediums for expression are Ball Pens, Oils and Acrylics on canvas. I have worked as a freelance muralist and glass painter in the last many years and have had many group shows. My artwork has been showcased by: Artcade Gallery at Marriott, Islamabad in 2019; NCA Art Gallery, Islamabad in 2019; Doha Art Gallery, Qatar in 2019; The Second Floor (T2F), Karachi in 2018
