Fine Art by Riffat

I am basically a self-taught artist and won many prizes in various competitions during my school going years then some years back I have done short diploma (6 months course) in drawing and painting from Karachi School of Arts, since then I have been working with oil paints. Later I have completed advanced fine art course under supervision of senior artist Sir Hanif Shehzad. I mostly paint landscapes. Nature is a source of inspiration for me. I always get mesmerized by the masterpieces created by God, such as mountains, trees, rivers, sky, clouds etc, and portray them on canvas. I try to capture the essence of a scene, with the help of different colors and textures and also through shadows and highlights, in my paintings.
