Faisal went to architecture school at National College of Arts for B.Arch and McGill University for a Masters Degree. His true passion, watercolours was however always alive even when he was not painting till he reached a tipping point about two decades ago and decided to fully take up painting. Since then he has been on a self-taught journey to explore this most challenging and fascinating medium and create streetscapes, landscapes, architectural renderings and portraits in his own unique style. Today, he is recognised as one of the leading contemporary watercolourist in the world and ranked among the top masters of the medium. He has exhibited at multiple venues and his work adorns many public places and private collections, both within Pakistan and abroad. He has attended several workshops in Europe and Asia and conducted his own in Pakistan and at prestigious venues for the medium around the world. Recently, his work was recognised by the UAE government which granted him a Golden Visa in their ‘Exceptional Talent’ category
