Tashfeen Majeed Joseph is a Pakistan based practicing visual artist, lives and practice art at his STUDIO ABU TASHFEEN Faisalabad/Lyallpur Pakistan. He was born on April 4, 1983 at Kharian Punjab Pakistan. His father Abdul Majeed Joseph (1951-2002) was a Government employee and self-taught artist, writer and socialist activist. He was the central committee member of the Communist Party of Pakistan. He was the founder of the STUDIO ABU TASHFEEN. Tashfeen Majeed Joseph grew up Andrun Lyallpur (Seraya District Council Karkhna Bazar) since school days he had participated regularly annual LaSalle High School Faisalabad poster competitions plus he participated in two international competitions by UNICEF.

After the demise of his father in 2002, Joseph’s life took a downturn and the worries of life overpowered him and made him do unskilled labor, later on, made his come back and worked as the youngest cartoonist Daily Yarn Urdu Newspaper Faisalabad, Awam Daily Urdu Newspaper Faisalabad, Power and Politics Lahore, Surkh Parcham Lahore 2003-2004. He did Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) major in painting with distinction from Institute of Art and Design Government College University 2008. He titled his thesis as “No Pain No Gain” He earned his BFA degree in 2019. Joseph successfully passed the entry test of M.Phil. Art & Design (Studio Practice) among 51 his name was in the top ten candidates. Joseph did a course in WOOD PAINTING POLISH from National College of Arts Lahore (NCA Lahore Pakistan) 2016. He became a member of Halqa-Arbar-e-Zook 2002; Lyallpur Faisalabad Pakistan. 2017; he became member of Artist Association (AAP) Punjab.2019; Tashfeen was elected as joint secretary for year 2018-2019 of Halqa Arbar-E-Zook Lyallpur/Faisalabad. He established an art gallery ABU TASHFEEN GALLERY at Chamber of Commerce & Industry Faisalabad 2012-2017. Tashfeen Majeed also served as an artist-activist to stand against the nepotism in the art scene of Pakistan which led him to be ousted by the art bourgeoisie nexus. Dawn[i] and NayaDaur[ii] Sama Tv[iii] City 41[iv] [v]featured his roadshow and performance of his art struggle owing to ban by Lahore biennale 2018. He participate SDC-UK International Design Competition for Students 2020[vi](Pakistan Chapter) his work was nominated for award from Institute of art and design Government College University. 8^th May International Museum Day Joseph art work selected from Faisalabad Pakistan.
